PASTURED CHICKEN EGGS
We are the new care-takers of 80 beautiful hens. They have a home--The Super Coop--where they roost (sleep) and nest (lay eggs). It travels around the pastures of Green Being Farm depositing their nitrogen-rich manure for the grass and microbes to eat. Every day they are out on the grass chasing bugs, eating grass, and scratching around. Every day they lay eggs that we offer to our local community members.
Send us an email if you'd like to pick some eggs up at the farm.
$6.50 per dozen
Diet: Our hens are fed an organic layer mash (a mix of organic soy, wheat, corn, and supplements such as calcium), sprouted organic barley, veggie scraps, and everything that grows/lives in the pasture. The eggs are called "pastured" because of the mix of grain and pasture the hens eat.
